Do we have the courage to question our own beliefs, worldviews and practices? Do we have the strength to stand up against the structural violence carried out by patriarchal institutions, both secular and religious? Are we ready to hear a different perspective and allow a different opinion to be respected – even if we don’t agree with it? Are we ready to respect human freedom and the right of a person to believe or not to believe, to ask, doubt and search for answers? Is it possible to be a feminist and a believer?
If the answer to these questions is positive, then we recommend that you apply to the first online FER school: Feminism and Religion. The FER school is intended for women and men who want to academically question their beliefs, attitudes, knowledge and practices about human rights and freedoms and who want to investigate how gender stereotypes shape the lives of women and men in the family and society.
The goal of the FER school is to understand through online lectures and discussions how gender stereotypes affect the lives of women and men, why they are still justified by religion and some scientific research, and to offer egalitarian models of gender relations.
The FER school is FREE and the courses in this semester are intended for everyone regardless of the level of education and do not require preparation or writing papers, but regular and active participation.
In the summer semester of the FER school (March 25 to May 31, 2024), we offer five courses in the following terms:
Feminism is an absolute curse | Monday, 18.00 – 19.30 |
“Little girl, don’t walk like that!” Socio-religious shaping of gender roles | Tuesday, 18.00 – 19.30 |
There are few of us, but we are there! Gender, religion and the media | Wednesday, 18.00 – 19.30 |

Participants who participated regularly will receive a certificate at the end of the course.
You can enroll in all courses or only some of them.
The enrollment application should contain: 1. Motivation letter and short CV; 2. Titles of selected courses from those offered that you wish to attend.
Submit the application by March 15, 2024 to the address: ferskola.tpo@gmail.com . You will receive an answer to your application by March 20, 2024.
